Life has me overwhelmed. As I dive deeper into my fitness and career goals, gaining my certification, and looking to what lies ahead - I am overwhelmed. When you add these to my busy work schedule and planning to marry my best friend in just 9 short weeks and house hunting... again I am overwhelmed. I am overwhelmed with emotions, ideas, goals, and visions of what I want to accomplish! I am overwhelmed in the best way ever! When I think about my life and how blessed I am... I am overcome with gratitude for all in which The Lord has blessed me. Grateful for the ability to go after my goals and dreams, for the support system I have in Farrel, friends, teammates, coaches and family. I could not begin to imagine my life without these people! I have always been an active person but I let life get in the way of my fitness and overall health. I found myself involved in social sports and activities which lead to being out of shape or what many people know as "skinny fat." As my clothing side began to go up and my energy level began to go down, I realized this was not what I wanted for myself. I wanted to lead a healthy lifestyle, to one day raise a family in a healthy environment and just be in charge of my life. I decided to pursue this passion and become a certified personal trainer in order to gain knowledge mainly for myself; however, the more active I was in fitness the more I fell in love. I had joined a boot camp and was training with some great coaches who let me lead workouts a few times and I was hooked! It was such a great feeling to inspire and motivate others to push themselves to their limits and more. To see what I saw in them, to find their strengths and build to reduce their weaknesses. This was it! For most of my life I have compared myself to other people and was insecure in whom I was. I wasn't one that could accept a compliment; I always thought there was something behind it; that they couldn't possibly mean it. Throughout my journey to overall health, fitness and now to the stage - I have learned what it means to REALLY want something. To work for something bigger and better and to achieve my full potential. To realize that I have a lot to offer to not only myself and my family but to those out there who have yet to realize the same. One of my biggest accomplishments was earning my Bachelor's Degree, although my degree is in a completely different field, I am now following my passion. I implore each of you to do the same. As it happens I am able to use my education for various things to help me along the way...this allows me to follow two of my passions and combine them into one great love. The sky is the limit for me! I am excited to continue my journey in the fitness industry and become certified in the next couple of months. I hope to inspire and motivate others to lead a healthy lifestyle as many have done for me. Whether their journey is to the stage, to get healthy for themselves, their families or any other reason - I want to be the one that helps them realize their potential! My life is consumed with checklists - each one to help keep me focused and on target. Each one is exciting as it is all starting to come together. Farrel and I spend our time together on the road for work (I wish there was more of this but working nights makes it harder), we spend our time together in the gym (which only helps us grow stronger as one) and we are to be married soon!!! He has his passion for dirt track racing, something very hard to enjoy while we are at work, but he enjoys mine as well. I am studying for my certification, working towards my next show (date to be announced soon), and setting new goals for myself for the future. We have many dreams and goals as a family. I advise each of you to following your hopes and dreams. Don't let anyone tell you there is something you can't do. You CAN do anything you put your heart into. Go for it 150% and reach for the stars!! There is no limit to what can be accomplished when you are dedicated, inspired and determined. You've got this!!
