Honesty... This is a truly hard concept when speaking of our habits especially when it comes to our health and fitness. We say we don't "have time" for things when it comes to taking care of ourselves. So often we say we want to workout or we need to but yet it never happens. We somehow find time to relax and watch television or spend an hour of our day that later we cannot account for how we spent it. Instead of saying we want to do something, we should think of what we truly want and make that happen.
I know I have wanted to change what I eat and my fitness habits for far too long now. I say I am going to start this week or next week and the weeks come and go. Did I ever really WANT to change or did I just think it was a good idea? If I really wanted to make a change, I would have made it happen. I can blame work, being happy in a relationship, sleep, time, etc There are so many different excuses for why I haven't worked out but the truth is -- there is NO excuse. There is only one reason! ME. I am the reason. If you want something you work for it. You MAKE the time and the effort to go after what you want. So here I am.. going after what I want!
Do you know what you want or what you need to do to get it? The best thing you can do it start now figuring it out and going after it!! Don't wait!! Just remember to be proud of the journey - not just the goal!
